Kotagiri was known in the past as “Kota-Keri” or “Kota-gherry”, the street of Kotas. The town has developed around numerous knolls and valleys. It is the third largest hill station in the Nilgiri Mountains.
Kotagiri is 21 km from Coonoor, 29km from Ooty, 37km from Mettupalayam and 78kms from Coimbatore, the closest Airport. It rains in two seasonal periods following the monsoon pattern. Temperature averages 15 deg.C Goes down to 2 deg.C at night around Jan/Feb. Kotagiri has been described as the “Switzerland of the East” Kotagiri, Nilgiris, India near Ooty. Elevation at 6500 ft and temperature around 15 deg.C all year round.

Arrival at Coimbatore Airport/Railway Station, and transfer to Kotagiri, check in to hotel. And spend free time at leisure. Overnight stay at Kotagiri hotel.
Day 02: Kotagiri
After breakfast full day sightseeing tour, Visit tea estates, John Sullivan’s Bungalow, pine forest, St. Catherine falls, Kodanad Viewing Point, Elk Falls etc…
