Travelers visiting Vagamon can definitely consider this beautiful destination of Uluppuni Hills which is is around 16kms from vagamon towards pulikanam route.

Ideal for good trekking experience and exploring the majestic scenery on foot, also the route offers  off-road experiences on Jeeps with certain level of adventure.

The  Jeep safari is aprox 10 kms needs to be traveled in this off-road for the view points. You can see the Kulamavu Dam of Idukki reservoir from the view point which is exceptionally beautiful from the hill top.

Routes to Reaching Ulupunni

There are two routes to reach Uluppuni viewpoint. One is through Vagamon -> Chottupara Junction, if you are coming from Alappuzha,Kottayam via Erattupetta side. And the other one is through Kanjar-> Moolamattam-> Chottupara Junction, if you are coming from Thodupuza, Idukki side. Both the routes to ulupooni are meant for pure off-roading, which will offer you a certain level of adventure.

The famous malayalam action drama movie, Iyobinte Pusthakam (The book of Iyob ) was shot in Uluppuni, were this enchanting beauty is not yet commercialized like Vagamon and Nearby destinations.
